The Kohima district administration has restricted vehicular movement along a section of National Highway-29 near the old Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) dumping site.

In an order issued by Deputy Commissioner B. Henok Buchem, the restriction has been enforced in view of the deteriorating road condition and ongoing landslides near the old toll tax gate. As per the directive, only six-wheeler goods carrier trucks will be allowed to use the affected stretch. The order, aimed at ensuring public safety, will remain in force until further notice.
