Around 40 percent of the natural gas pipeline work in Nagaland is expected to be completed by December 2025, Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL) has stated. The overall project completion has been revised to March 2027.

The announcement came during a site inspection of the NEGG Dimapur–Imphal Pipeline Project in Kohima district, led by Kohima Deputy Commissioner B. Henok Buchem. The inspection included officials from IGGL, the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), the Department of Geology and Mining, and project contractors.

Deputy Commissioner Buchem expressed concern over slow progress and limited manpower deployed for the project.
