Nagaland : Medical Camp Organized At Wui Village; Effort To Ensure Medical Facilities Reach Far-Flung Locations

In an attempt to ensure that medical facilities reach the local populace, the Shamator Noklak Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 7 Sector Assam Rifles/HQ Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) today conducted a ‘Medical Camp’ at Wui Village in Nagaland’s Noklak District.

The Medical Camp was conducted by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of 14 Assam Rifles – Dr Jacob at the Wui Village of Noklak District.

During this medical camp, patients under age-group starting from 1-yr-old to 102-yrs-old were examined by the CMO and free medicines were also distributed among patients.

The CMO also laid emphasis on the preventive and precautionary measures of several water-borne diseases, including the importance of routine immunization of children.

Besides, the Chairman of Wui Village – Y Kiamo alongwith other villagers conveyed their gratitude to 14 Assam Rifles for providing medical assistance to villagers, especially when the route is cut-off with Noklak town.
