Kohima, July 12: The Health and Family Welfare Department of Nagaland observed World Population Day and Fortnight (11th–18th July) at the Chief Medical Officer’s Conference Hall in Kohima on Friday.
Organised by the District Health Society in collaboration with the National Health Mission, the event was held under the theme “Healthy Timing and Spacing Between Pregnancies for Planned Parenthood.”
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Khrievilhou Nakhro emphasized the significance of family planning and introduced the “SAARTHI on Wheels” initiative launched under Mission Parivar Vikas to promote awareness and access to reproductive health services.
