The People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) has urged the Central Government and all parties involved in the Indo-Naga peace process to make sincere efforts for an early and logical conclusion of the ongoing dialogue. The alliance stated that the final settlement should be honourable, inclusive, and acceptable to all sections of the Naga people.

The decision was made during a PDA meeting chaired by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio at the Chief Minister’s Residential Complex in Kohima on Thursday. Deputy Chief Minister and BJP Legislature Party Leader Y. Patton, BJP Nagaland President Benjamin Yepthomi, NDPP Secretary General Abu Metha, NDPP Senior Vice President Rusemtong Longkumer, NPF MLA and Secretary General Achumbemo Kikon, and NPF President Apong Pongener attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the PDA unanimously adopted several resolutions reaffirming its political unity and shared commitment to peace and development in Nagaland. The alliance also expressed appreciation to the Central Government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for its continued support toward the state’s progress.

Welcoming the Naga People’s Front (NPF) as a full-fledged partner in the PDA, the house acknowledged the guidance and support of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership in facilitating the NPF’s inclusion in the alliance.
