Kohima, Aug 12: The Doyang reservoir in Wokha district, once known for its scenic beauty, is now heavily polluted with plastic bottles, floating logs, and other garbage, raising concerns about its ecological condition and the livelihoods depending on it. In response to this growing environmental issue, the Wokha district administration will soon launch the second phase of the Clean Doyang Mission.

Deputy Commissioner Vineet Kumar told Akashvani News Kohima that he has taken serious note of the pollution and plans to launch the mission next week, pending favourable weather conditions. The initiative aims to restore the reservoir’s cleanliness and protect the surrounding ecosystem.
