Kohima, July 4: Neithovilie Chalieü and Lavoriyi Theluo have become the first certified goalkeeping coaches from Nagaland after successfully completing the AFC Goalkeeping Level 1 Coaching Course conducted in Krishna Nagar, West Bengal.
The six-day course was organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) in collaboration with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). It was led by AIFF instructor Rajat Guha, who also serves as the goalkeeping coach of Indian Super League club Chennaiyin FC.
Chalieü, a former goalkeeper for Shillong Lajong FC, hails from Dimapur and currently serves as the assistant coach of Red Scars FC. Theluo, from Phek district, is an AFC B Licence holder and former coach of 27 United FC.
