National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, in collaboration with TEQNET Foundation, organised a seminar on “Entrepreneurship and Its Workflow – Step-1” at its campus in Akampat, Imphal.

The programme, held under the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)—an initiative of the Ministry of Education through the MoE’s Innovation Cell in collaboration with All India Council for Technical Education—aimed to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among students and young professionals.
In his opening address, Dr. Yumnam Jayanta Singh welcomed participants and emphasised the importance of entrepreneurship-driven initiatives in empowering youth and fostering innovation.
The seminar was conducted in hybrid mode and saw participation from around 100 students and aspiring entrepreneurs from various institutions.
Prof. Ch Ibohal Meitei, Director of the Research and Development Cell at Manipur University, spoke on business planning and strategic management, encouraging youth to explore entrepreneurial ideas and funding opportunities.
Other speakers included McDon Ningthoujam, who discussed workspace and funding options; Roshni Kumar Yambem, who spoke on operations management and team building; and Ailan Maibam, who highlighted the role of logistics in business through case studies.
As part of the programme, participants also visited the India AI Lab and Drone Electronics Laboratories at NIELIT Imphal, where they were introduced to advanced facilities and informed about skill development programmes in artificial intelligence and drone technology.
