Sikkim won against Arunachal Pradesh Tigers by 3:2 during a North East Women’s Football League-22 match, held on Tuesday. With the resounding victory, the Sikkim squad now advanced to the semi-finals.
Nevertheless, the squad held a 2:0 advantage through 62 minutes of the second half. It has been agreed to give substitute players an opportunity and to rest the starters; delivering a quick opportunity to score two goals to equalize the score.
It was score of 2:2 goals till later 77 minutes but in 78th minutes Signoria Thapa (10) scored the winning goal, whereas first 2 goals were scored by Noacha (19).
Sikkim Women’s Team is being guided by Pushpa Gurung – Chief Coach, Alpan Lepcha – Coach and Dr. Rinzy Lamu Bhutia – Physiotherapist. Thus, after winning 5 matches and 2 draws with total 17 points, Sikkim proceeds to the semi -final.
The following match will be held on 22.07.2022 between the ‘Manipur Sangais’ and ‘Sikkim Pandas’.
As per the point table : Manipur Sangais scored total 19 points, while Sikkim Pandas scored 17 points.
