Kohima, June 28: Meghalaya Chief Minister and National People’s Party (NPP) president Conrad K. Sangma has highlighted the party’s steady growth and emerging role in national politics despite significant challenges.
Addressing the NPP Nagaland State Executive Committee Meeting in Kohima, Sangma said the NPP has made a mark in national politics, something that was unimaginable earlier. He acknowledged the journey has had its share of turbulence but emphasized that the party has endured.
Sangma urged party workers to seize new opportunities arising from shifting political dynamics in the Northeast region. He called for unity and active participation, appealing to party workers to stay connected with the people and ensure the party remains rooted in public concerns.
During the meeting, NPP welcomed 16 new members, including 10 former Congress leaders and 6 from the BJP.
