A one-day training programme on the National Intelligence Grid (NATGRID) was organised by Manipur Police at the auditorium of the New Manipur Police Headquarters, Mantripukhri, on February 6, 2026, with the assistance of the NATGRID team from the Ministry of Home Affairs, in accordance with the directions of the Union Home Minister.
The programme was aimed at familiarising police officers with the features and operational scope of NATGRID to enhance intelligence sharing and promote data-driven investigations. Around 150 police officers from various units of Manipur Police participated in the training, both in person and through video conferencing.
The NATGRID team, comprising Dr. Saurabh Gupta, Advisor (Project NATGRID), Commander Jitesh P. Saini, Director, NATGRID, and Shri Anup Kumar, Deputy Secretary, NATGRID, provided detailed technical inputs and practical guidance during the sessions.
Senior officers of Manipur Police, led by the Director General of Police, attended the programme. The training concluded with appreciation for the NATGRID team, organisers and participants for their contributions to strengthening intelligence-led policing in the state.
