Mizoram is set to witness a major enhancement in connectivity as Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bairabi–Sairang railway line on September 13, Chief Minister Lalduhoma announced.

The new Sairang terminal, located near the state capital Aizawl, will provide the city with its first direct connection to India’s national railway network.

Addressing the Mizoram Police Service Association (MPSA) conference in Aizawl on Friday, Lalduhoma said the railway project is expected to significantly improve transportation and accessibility across the state.
