PM Modi’s Birthday: Tripura BJP Launches ‘Seva Pakhwada’ Campaign from September 17 to October 02

Agartala, September 4, 2025: The Tripura unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a fortnight-long ‘Seva Pakhwada’ campaign to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17. The initiative, which will run until October 2, aims to promote public service and welfare activities across the state.

Speaking to reporters in Agartala city on Thursday, Pradesh BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee said the campaign is part of a nationwide directive issued by BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda. “From September 17 to October 2, BJP workers across the country will engage in various service-oriented activities to mark the Prime Minister’s birthday and Gandhi Jayanti,” Bhattacharjee stated.

To prepare for the campaign, the Tripura BJP held a state-level workshop at its headquarters, attended by senior party leaders and office bearers. The workshop focused on planning and coordination for the upcoming events.

Bhattacharjee outlined several key initiatives under the Seva Pakhwada banner, including cleanliness drives under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, blood donation camps, tree plantation efforts, and commemorative events on September 25 to mark the birth anniversary of Deendayal Upadhyaya. He also emphasized that tributes will be paid to freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation.

Bhattacharjee was accompanied by Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, BJP National Vice-Treasurer and MP Naresh Bansal, BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ravindra Raju, Pradesh BJP General Secretary and Convener of ”Seva Pakshik” program Bhagaban Chandra Das.
