A police case has been registered against a YouTuber and an astrologer for allegedly claiming that tribal communities in Meghalaya continue to practise human sacrifice.

The complaint was filed by activist Enlang, who also submitted a petition to the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST), urging action against the individuals for spreading false information and defaming tribal communities.

Police have confirmed the registration of the case and stated that an investigation is underway.
