Shillong, July 18: The Meghalaya Police has launched an investigation into alleged irregularities in the recruitment process carried out by the Office of the Controller General of Communication Accounts (CGCA) in Shillong, officials said on Friday.

The investigation was initiated following internal scrutiny and official correspondence with the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and the CGCA. According to officials, the probe was triggered after a candidate allegedly secured a government job in April using forged documents.
