Renovated Rajya Sainik Board Manipur Inaugurated, Marking A New Chapter In Ex-Servicemen Welfare

The newly renovated Rajya Sainik Board, Manipur, was inaugurated today, marking a major milestone in strengthening welfare initiatives for ex-servicemen and their families. The upgraded facility, once in a dilapidated condition, now boasts a modern office complex complete with a new gate, refurbished offices, and a community hall.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Maj Gen Ravroop Singh, YSM, SM, IGAR (South); Brig A. Boral, Commander, 9 Sector Assam Rifles; retired officers Col A.G.S. Koijam, Col C.R.K. Singh, Col Robindro Sharma, and Col N.N.K. Singh, along with serving personnel from the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, and veterans of the state. The senior-most veteran of Manipur, Honorary Captain Soibam Yaima Singh (Retd), officially inaugurated the renovated complex.

Colonel Gopendra Singh Puyam (Retd), Secretary, Rajya Sainik Board Manipur, expressed his gratitude to the Home Department, Government of Manipur, Assam Rifles, and the Indian Army for their support in transforming the facility. “This renovation ensures that the Rajya Sainik Board can continue providing essential welfare services to our veterans and their families in a more efficient and dignified environment,” he stated.

The renovation project, supported by the Assam Rifles, Indian Army, and the Manipur Government’s Home Department, addressed long-standing structural issues, including roof leaks, seepage, and damaged flooring. The modernised complex now stands as a testament to the collective commitment of the armed forces and state government towards the welfare and dignity of ex-servicemen.

With its new infrastructure and renewed mission, the Rajya Sainik Board, Manipur, is set to enhance its services related to pensions, medical assistance, and other welfare measures for those who have served the nation.
