Agartala, September 11, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday announced that the state government has decided to declare Sangrama Puja as a restricted holiday. The decision was approved by the state cabinet following the Chief Minister’s proposal, an official release confirmed.

Ahead of the Durga Puja festivities, CM Saha met with Pradhan Samajpatis and extended greetings while discussing a wide range of community and cultural matters.

Reiterating his government’s focus on tribal welfare, Saha highlighted ongoing initiatives for the socio-economic development of Janajati communities. He said the inputs provided by the Samajpatis would strengthen the government’s efforts to uplift the poorest sections of society.

“This is the first time that all the respected Samajpatis have come together, which will further foster brotherhood among communities,” Saha remarked.

The Chief Minister added that such engagements reflect the government’s vision of inclusive development and cultural harmony.
