Security forces carried out a series of operations across Manipur, leading to the arrest of four active cadres belonging to different militant outfits over the past two days.

On April 5, an active member of KCP (Apunba), identified as Thokchom Punachandra Meitei alias Tunal (28), a resident of Chana Mayai Leikai under Lamlai Police Station in Imphal East district, was arrested from his residence.

In a separate operation on the same day, security forces apprehended an active cadre of PREPAK (PRO), Victor Takhelmayum (19), also known by multiple aliases including Olen, Johnson, and Naoba, from his residence at Sanjenbam Khunou in Imphal East district. A mobile phone and an Aadhaar card were seized from his possession.

Earlier, on April 4, an active cadre of UNLF (K), Laishram Inaotomba Singh alias Dondon (19), was arrested from Palace Compound, Mahabali Mamang under Porompat Police Station in Imphal East district. A mobile phone was recovered from him.

In another joint operation conducted on April 4, security forces along with Delhi Police arrested two cadres of KYKL from the general area between BP 72 and 73 near Yangoubung village under Moreh Police Station in Tengnoupal district. The arrested individuals were identified as Thokchom Ingocha Singh alias Kebi (31) of Khangabok Mayai Leikai, Thoubal district, and Thokchom Ragunath Meitei alias Birjit (48) of Kakching Ningthou Leikai, Kakching district.

Further investigation into the cases is underway.
