As part of ongoing rescue efforts in North Sikkim, 19 stranded individuals were airlifted from Chaten to Greenfield Airport, Pakyong, by the MI-41 helicopter on Thursday.

The evacuation operations are continuing, with the same helicopter expected to carry out further sorties to rescue the remaining stranded people.
