A key bridge on the Uttrey route in Gyalshing district was severely damaged by heavy rainfall on the night of July 19, causing a complete disruption of vehicular movement.

Jawans of the 72nd Battalion, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Yuksam, who were returning from firing practice, noticed the damage and immediately assessed the situation. Acting swiftly, they carried out temporary repairs to the bridge, successfully restoring traffic flow.

Their quick response and commitment ensured minimal disruption to local connectivity and highlighted the battalion’s readiness to respond to emergencies in difficult terrain.
