The one-day sitting of the Second Session (Part IV) of the Eleventh Sikkim Legislative Assembly was successfully held on Monday, marking key legislative developments.
During the session, The Scholars University of Skills and Innovation, Sikkim Bill, 2025 was introduced, and The Sikkim Lokayukta (Amendment) Bill, 2025 was passed by the House.
In addition, the Annual Consolidated Audit Report on Panchayati Raj Institutions and Municipalities for the financial year 2023–24 was tabled. Annual reports from the Departments of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food & Civil Supplies, and the Sikkim Public Service Commission were also presented.
Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang expressed his gratitude to Speaker M. N. Sherpa and Deputy Speaker Raj Kumari Thapa for their leadership during the session. He also thanked Ministers, Members of the House, the Cabinet Secretary, Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Assembly Secretariat, Sikkim Police, departmental officials, and media representatives for their contributions to the smooth conduct of the session.
