Siliguri, August 4: The Sikkim Amateur Boxing Association announced the departure of its team for the 4th Sub-Junior (U-15) Boys’ & Girls’ National Boxing Championship 2025. The championship will be held from August 6 to 14 at Galgotias University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

The team consists of 18 young boxers — 10 boys and 8 girls — who have been rigorously training to represent Sikkim at this national event. They are accompanied by four officials, including coaches and team managers, who will guide the athletes throughout the competition.

The Sub-Junior National Championship is an important platform for discovering and developing young boxing talent. Sikkim’s participation underlines the state’s efforts to promote boxing among its youth.

The Sikkim Amateur Boxing Association expressed gratitude to the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Sikkim, and supporters for their encouragement and support, and wished the team success in the championship.
