Sikkim Chief Minister Visits Tsomgo Lake, Discusses Shiv Mandir Renovation

Gangtok, Aug 9: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang visited Tsomgo Lake on Saturday, coinciding with the celebrations of Bhadau Purnima and Raksha Bandhan. The Chief Minister offered prayers at the sacred lake and the adjoining Shiv Mandir.

During the visit, he held discussions with local residents regarding the proposed renovation and upgradation of the Shiv Mandir and the nearby Chorten. Emphasis was placed on enhancing the spiritual facilities while maintaining the sanctity of the site.

The Chief Minister stressed the need for development efforts to respect the religious importance of the area and to adopt sustainable practices to protect the surrounding forest and ecosystem.

He prayed for peace, prosperity, and well-being of Sikkim and its people, invoking blessings from Lord Shiva and the divine spirit of Tsomgo Lake.
