Gangtok, Nov 29: Chief Minister of Sikkim, Prem Singh Tamang, expressed his gratitude to President of India, Droupadi Murmu, for releasing the Indian Constitution translated into nine languages included in the Eighth Schedule, including Nepali.
The release took place as part of the 76th Constitution Day celebrations, themed “Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhiman.” The initiative aims to promote inclusivity and linguistic diversity, making the Constitution more accessible to citizens from various linguistic backgrounds.
Tamang said that the mention of Sikkim during the event was a source of pride and joy for every citizen of the state.
On behalf of the people and the Government of Sikkim, Tamang also extended appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Government of India for this significant and visionary initiative.
