Gangtok, Mar 2: Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Monday flagged off a new emergency response fleet from Chintan Bhawan, comprising 14 Mini Water Tenders and nine Quick Response Bikes.

The vehicles are aimed at improving the State’s preparedness and ensuring faster and more efficient responses to fire incidents and other emergencies. Designed for agility, the fleet can reach congested and hard-to-access areas quickly.

The Chief Minister said the new fleet will help reduce damage and protect lives, while also supporting the ongoing modernization of emergency services in Sikkim. Officials said the initiative strengthens the State’s emergency management system and public safety infrastructure.
