Sikkim CM Lays Foundation Stone For Healing Garden Cum Wellness Park In Mangan

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Wednesday laid the foundation stone of a Healing Garden cum Wellness Park near the District Hospital in Mangan.

The event was attended by Minister for Forest and Environment and Area MLA Pintso Namgyal Lepcha, Ministers Samdup Lepcha, GT Dhungel, Sonam Lama, MLA and Advisor Thenlay Tshering Bhutia, PCCF and Secretary of the Forest Department Dr. Pradeep Kumar, DC Mangan Anant Jain, along with senior officers and other dignitaries.

The project, initiated by the Forest and Environment Department, is aimed at promoting health, well-being, and environmental awareness. Situated below the District Hospital, the garden will offer spaces for reflection, recreation, and connection with nature.

Officials said the park will also promote ecological conservation, eco-tourism, and community engagement. The initiative supports sustainable development in the region and is expected to encourage healthier lifestyles while reinforcing Sikkim’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
