Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi on Wednesday. During the meeting, the Chief Minister extended a formal invitation to the Finance Minister to participate in the year-long celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Sikkim’s statehood.
Sitharaman accepted the invitation and expressed her willingness to visit Sikkim to join the commemorations.
CM Tamang expressed gratitude to the Finance Minister for taking time to meet and for her ongoing support to the people of Sikkim.
