Sikkim CM Prem Singh Tamang Attends 13th Ziro Festival Of Music In Arunachal Pradesh

ZIRO, Arunachal Pradesh, Sep 27: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang attended the 13th Ziro Festival of Music at Ziro Valley in the Lower Subansiri district on Saturday. He extended greetings to the people of Arunachal Pradesh, the state government, and all distinguished guests on behalf of the Government and people of Sikkim.

Tamang highlighted the festival as a celebration of cultural diversity, unity, and natural beauty. He noted that the festival blends tradition with modernity, provides opportunities for artists, inspires youth, and promotes tourism and cultural exchange.

As Sikkim’s State Partner, a 200-member delegation, including self-help groups, entrepreneurs, tour operators, bikers, and cultural artists, participated in the festival. Tamang also appreciated the festival’s focus on sustainability, noting its Plastic-Free Zone and Zero Waste initiatives, and its support for local artists under the “Vocal for Local” campaign.

He drew parallels between Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh, citing shared cultural and spiritual heritage, agricultural prominence, and natural beauty. He expressed gratitude to Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu, Deputy CM Chowna Mein, the state government, and festival organizers for their hospitality.

Tamang concluded by wishing that the Ziro Festival continues to promote unity, brotherhood, and harmony through music.
