Sikkim CM Prem Singh Tamang Attends Rajasthan Statehood Day Celebrations In Gangtok

Gangtok, Mar 30: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang participated in the celebrations of Rajasthan Statehood Day at Lok Bhavan on Monday. The event was attended by Governor Om Prakash Mathur, Chief Justice of the Sikkim High Court Justice Muhamed Mustaque Ayumantakath, Rajasthan Government Minister Sanjay Sharma, along with Sikkim ministers, MLAs, senior officials, and other dignitaries.

Rajasthan Statehood Day marks the formation of the state on March 30, 1949, under the leadership of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Rajasthan, the largest state in India, is widely recognized as the “Land of Kings.”

Chief Minister Tamang noted the significance of initiatives such as “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” in promoting unity and cultural exchange across states. He also acknowledged the Governor’s efforts in organizing the celebration in Sikkim to strengthen cultural ties.

The event included poetic performances by Vineet Chauhan and Siddharth Deval, which were noted to have added to the ceremonial atmosphere. Chief Minister Tamang emphasized the importance of honoring traditions, promoting unity, and working collectively for the nation’s welfare.
