Gangtok, Feb 13: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Friday chaired a review meeting of the ‘Sikkim Inspires’ programme at Samman Bhawan.

The initiative, focused on empowering women and youth through training and capacity-building programmes, has made notable progress over the past two years in achieving its goals.

CM Tamang stressed the importance of effectively utilising trained manpower, noting that success lies not only in conducting innovative trainings but also in helping participants become self-reliant and entrepreneurial, instead of pursuing only white-collar employment.

He highlighted the need to foster a positive work culture and transform the mindset of the younger generation. The Chief Minister also urged that available resources and funds be used judiciously to build a confident, resilient, and self-reliant generation.

CM Tamang appreciated the efforts of all involved in the initiative and wished the team continued success until the project’s completion.
