Sikkim CM Prem Singh Tamang Interacts With Students, Praises Academic Excellence

Gangtok, Feb 14: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Saturday interacted with the outgoing 2021 batch of MBBS students and the 2022–2025 batches pursuing MBBS, BDS, BPT, MPT, Engineering, and other disciplines at Manipal Institute and various other universities, along with their guardians.

During the interaction, the Chief Minister highlighted the role of the Chief Minister’s Education Assistance Scheme (CMEAS) in providing financial support and encouragement to deserving and meritorious students. He said witnessing their dedication and academic performance reaffirmed the initiative’s impact in empowering young minds to pursue their goals with confidence and determination.

CM Tamang congratulated the students and extended his best wishes as they move forward in their professional careers dedicated to service and humanity. He also expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the programme’s success, particularly Dr. Sandeep Kashyap of Manipal Hospital for facilitating coordination between the CM’s Office and the Institute.

The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder access to quality education, professional excellence, and societal service.
