The District Administration Centre (DAC) Gangtok has been awarded the CIPS Innovation Award for Public Service at a ceremony held in Srinagar, recognizing its efforts in promoting innovative governance and citizen-centric initiatives.

The award was presented in the presence of Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo.

DAC Gangtok received the award for its Amin App initiative, introduced under the leadership of District Collector Gangtok, Tushar Nikhare. The award was received on behalf of the district administration by ADC (HQ) Tshering Norgyal Theengh and SDM (HQ) Abhijeet R. Patil, who also gave a presentation on the app’s features and benefits.

The Amin App is designed to simplify land revenue administration by enabling citizens to book appointments with Amins (Revenue Surveyors) online, access reports digitally, and make secure electronic challan payments. The initiative reduces the need for multiple office visits while ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficiency.

The CIPS Innovation Awards are administered by the Centre for Innovations in Public Systems (CIPS), an autonomous institution under the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), established in 1956 as a joint initiative of the Government of India and industry.
