Gangtok, Jun 7: The evacuation operation from Chaten concluded successfully with the completion of airlifting army personnel and the earlier rescue of stranded tourists.

The final sortie of MI-17 helicopters transported army personnel to Pakyong Greenfield Airport, with 76 personnel airlifted in the first sortie involving three MI-17 helicopters.

The State Government continues to closely monitor the situation and remains committed to providing all necessary support and assistance to those affected.
