Namchi, Jan 14: Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur and Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang inaugurated the newly constructed Sub-Divisional Administrative Centre at Jorethang on Wednesday, coinciding with the Maghey Sankranti Mela.

The modern facility, spread over multiple floors, includes administrative offices, conference halls, record rooms, open office spaces, parking, and other public service amenities. It will accommodate the Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s Office, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Commercial Taxes Division, Fisheries Department, and other departmental offices, enhancing administrative coordination and public access.

Officials present at the inauguration included Buildings and Housing Minister Bhim Hang Limboo, Area MLA Madan Century, NJNP Vice President Nikita Rai, Director General of Police Akshay Sachdeva, District Collector Namchi Anupa Tamling, SDM Jorethang Yogen Syangden, and other departmental officers.
