*Sikkim International Film Festival Showcases Industry Dialogue and Innovation at Chintan Bhawan*

The second day of the Sikkim International Film Festival (SIFF) at Chintan Bhawan featured panel discussions focusing on developments in the film industry at both state and national levels. The sessions brought together industry experts and representatives from the State Government, fostering dialogue on the evolving cinematic landscape.

Running from March 19 to 22, 2026, the festival has attracted nationally and internationally acclaimed film professionals, along with delegates from various countries.

Alongside the discussions, the SIFF Market at Chintan Bhawan’s gazebo area showcased a range of innovation and local enterprise. Participating organisations included startups, local businesses, and established companies:

Inquisitive Mindspace Pvt. Ltd., based in Pakyong, focuses on integrating education with practical skill development for students from Classes 8 to 12.

Ask Himalaya, an AI startup from Darjeeling, offers an intelligent travel guide and curated tour services.

VUE MAX under Genic Minds, an AI-driven regional OTT platform, provides localised digital content for audiences in the Northeast and neighbouring countries.

Asian Anime and Manga Academy, a Pakyong-based studio established in January 2026, conducts weekly workshops in anime and manga creation.

Sikkim Milk Union, a key state dairy cooperative, supports milk procurement, processing, and distribution while promoting the local dairy sector.

Nikon, a global imaging and optics company, showcased cameras and photography equipment widely used in film and media.

Soreng Coffee Roasters, a local coffee enterprise, aims to expand cultivation and establish a roastery with international export plans.

The SIFF Market will continue until March 21, 2026, featuring additional activities and exhibitions.
