Gangtok, May 21: As part of the ongoing celebrations marking 50 years of Sikkim’s statehood, the Mangan District Administrative Centre has installed a 100-feet tall National flag mast at the center of its complex.

The flag mast was officially inaugurated on Wednesday by Minister Pintso Namgyal Lepcha, who oversees the Forest & Environment, Mines & Geology, and Science & Technology Departments. The ceremony was attended by District Collector Anant Jain, SP Sonam Detchu Bhutia, and other district officials.

Alongside the mast, a permanent billboard displaying the message ‘Nasha Mukt Mangan – Towards a drug-free District’ was installed by the Social Welfare Department.
