Sikkim MP Indra Hang Subba Joins India’s Parliamentary Delegation To UNGA Session In New York

Lok Sabha MP Indra Hang Subba is part of India’s non-official Parliamentary Delegation attending the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York from 27 to 31 October 2025.

On the first day of the visit, the 13-member Indian delegation attended a briefing session on India’s engagement at the United Nations, conducted by India’s Permanent Representative to the UN. This was followed by an interaction and briefing by Chandramouli Ramanathan, Controller and Assistant Secretary-General for Programme Planning, Finance, and Budget at the UN.

The session highlighted India’s active role and priorities at the United Nations, particularly in areas of sustainable development, peacekeeping, and multilateral cooperation.

During the visit, the delegation is expected to gain deeper insights into the multifaceted nature of India’s partnership with the UN.

Indra Hang Subba expressed his gratitude to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and the Government of India for the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge about the functioning of the UNGA and India’s contributions on the global platform.
