Gangtok, Dec 2: Eleven beneficiaries under the Namcheybong constituency received land parchas under the Sikkim Sukumbasi (Landless) Welfare Scheme through the Land Bank Scheme at the District Administrative Centre (DAC), Pakyong, on Tuesday.

The land parchas were distributed by Raju Basnet, Minister for Education, Sports & Youth Affairs, Law, and Parliamentary Affairs Departments and MLA of Namcheybong. The event was attended by District Collector Rohan Agawane, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Headquarter) Thendup Lepcha, SDM Pakyong Dakman Subba, and RO/AD Kiran Chettri.

The initiative aims to provide land ownership documents to landless beneficiaries, ensuring land security for individuals identified under the Sukumbasi Welfare Scheme.
