Gangtok, May 15: National Highway 10, the primary road link between Sikkim and West Bengal’s Kalimpong and Siliguri, will remain closed on May 15, 17 and 19 for maintenance work, according to a notification issued by the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL).
The highway will be inaccessible to traffic from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on all three days. The closure is expected to impact commuters and tourists travelling along the Siliguri-Gangtok route. Authorities have urged travelers to make necessary arrangements in view of the scheduled shutdown.
