The Women, Child, Senior Citizen and Divyangjan Welfare Department, headed by Additional Secretary Bandana Rai, visited the residence of Dhan Maya Tamang, mother of Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang (Golay), at Singling, Soreng. The team extended a formal invitation to her for the inaugural Aama Samman Diwas.

Scheduled for August 10, 2025, at Rangpo, the event is a historic initiative by the Chief Minister to honour and celebrate the mothers of Sikkim.
