Sikkim will soon establish its second “digital nomad village” at Gumpa Dara in Soreng district, following the successful model launched at Yakten in Pakyong in July, officials said on Saturday.

The development plan was discussed during a meeting at the District Administrative Centre (DAC) in Soreng on Friday, chaired by Additional District Collector DR Bista.

Under the “Nomad Sikkim” initiative, the village will feature high-speed internet, eco-friendly practices, and facilities designed for remote professionals, while also promoting tourism in the district.
