Gangtok, Dec 23: In a significant move to provide employment opportunities to the youth, Union Minister of State for AYUSH and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Prataprao Jadhav, distributed appointment letters to 80 youths in Gangtok on Monday during the Rozgar Mela 2024. The event was held at the Conference Hall of the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department.
The ceremony was attended by several distinguished officials, including Dr. Sachin Parhad, Advisor to MoS, Arjun Choudhary, Additional PS to MoS, Prabhakar, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Dinesh Kumar, Director General of Police (DGP) Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Dr. Karma Chaden Bhutia, Additional Director-cum-State Program Officer of the Health and Family Welfare Department.
In his address, Jadhav emphasized that the Rozgar Mela is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to make India self-reliant by 2047. He congratulated the newly appointed youths and urged them to contribute to national development, working towards realizing the goal of a “Vikasit Bharat” (Developed India) by 2047.
The Rozgar Mela initiative, which began in October 2022, is being held at 45 locations across the country. It aims to provide employment opportunities for youth and engage them in nation-building efforts. The newly recruited individuals will join various central government ministries and departments, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and Department of Financial Services.
