In a move to reinforce Sikkim’s anti-drug campaign, Pakyong District received 100 units of Multi-Drug Testing Kits under the Sarathi 1.0 initiative, aimed at supporting the state’s vision of a “Nasha Mukta Sikkim.”
The kits were handed over by Bishal Sharma, APS to the Chief Minister for Pakyong, to Bikash Rai, SDPO Pakyong, and Pradeep Chettri, SHO Pakyong, under the guidance of Rohit Raj Gurung, Advisor to the Chief Minister. The distribution is expected to strengthen on-ground efforts by enabling faster detection and action during enforcement and community outreach activities.
Sarathi 1.0, supported by Titan Co. Ltd, focuses on preventive measures and raising awareness against substance abuse. Officials said the initiative will enhance monitoring mechanisms and contribute to creating a healthier, addiction-free society in Sikkim.
