State-Level ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ to Begin on May 29, Says Tripura Minister Ratan Lal Nath

Agartala, May 24, 2025: The ‘Biksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ will be launched across Tripura from May 29 and continue till June 12, aiming to raise awareness among farmers, promote the use of modern technology and increase crop yields, said Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Saturday.

A preparatory meeting was held at the State Agricultural Research Center in AD Nagar here, where key stakeholders gathered to strategize for the upcoming campaign. Present at the meeting were Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Executive Member of ADC’s Agriculture Department Bhabaranjan Reang, Paschim Tripura Zilla Parishad Sabhadipati and Saha-Sabhadipati, the Director of the Agriculture Department and other officials.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Nath said, “Under this campaign, the Agriculture Department will launch a Krishi Rath Yatra across the state with the participation of agricultural scientists. This Yatra will serve as a mobile advisory service, delivering scientific advice and technology directly to farmers.”

He further added, “Through the ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan, a new horizon will be opened in Tripura’s agriculture sector. The Krishi Rath Yatra will help us connect directly with farmers, understand their challenges, and provide tailored solutions.”

Minister Nath expressed optimism about the campaign’s impact. “This initiative will also play a key role in educating farmers about seasonal farming techniques and better crop management,” he said.

Officials noted that the program will focus on localized problem-solving and community engagement to make agriculture more sustainable and productive throughout the state.
