Agartala, April 08, 2026: The evaluation of answer scripts for the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education has officially commenced across the state, with authorities indicating that publication of results may be delayed by nearly a week this year.
During an on-the-spot inspection of the evaluation process on Wednesday, Board President Dr. Dhananjay Gan Chowdhury said that the likely delay is mainly due to the ongoing ADC elections, as a significant number of teachers have been engaged in election-related duties.
He stated that although the evaluation process began on April 6, the involvement of teachers in poll responsibilities has affected the pace of assessment work to some extent.
According to the Board, answer script evaluation is being conducted at six centres in total. For Madhyamik examinations, evaluation is underway at four schools — Bani Vidyapith Girls’ School, Bodhjung Girls’ School, Kamini Kumar Higher Secondary School and Vijaykumar Girls’ School.
For Higher Secondary examinations, answer scripts are being assessed at Netaji Subhash Vidyaniketan and Bordowali Class XII School.
This year, nearly 2,200 teachers have been assigned evaluation duties. The Board said efforts are underway to complete the process at the earliest and publish the examination results during the first week of May.
