A special POCSO court in Ri-Bhoi district, Meghalaya, has sentenced three individuals to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment for sexually assaulting three minors in 2017.
The Special Judge of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Court in Nongpoh found the accused guilty under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the POCSO Act.
Officials confirmed that, in addition to the prison term, each convict has been fined ₹20,000.
