Aizawl, May 27: Mizoram Health Minister Lalrinpuii on Monday announced that tissue transplant procedures will soon be introduced in state-run hospitals, marking a significant step in the state’s medical services.
Speaking at the inauguration of a free health check-up camp for journalists at Aizawl Civil Hospital, she said a Cardiology operation theatre (Cath Lab) is being set up at the hospital to offer advanced health services not previously available.
The minister also informed that kidney transplants will soon commence at Aizawl Civil Hospital, where a dedicated operation theatre has already been installed and the required license obtained from the Centre.
