Agartala, May 22, 2026: The Tripura Joint Entrance Examination (TJEE) 2026 results were declared on Friday, bringing an end to the anxious wait of thousands of aspirants across the state. The announcement was made by Dr. Raja Chakraborty, Chairman of the Tripura Joint Entrance Board, at the Board headquarters.
This year, 4,731 students appeared for the state-level entrance examination conducted at 15 centres across Tripura. Of the total candidates, 2,086 were boys and 2,645 were girls, reflecting a strong participation of female students.
Official figures revealed that 604 candidates appeared in the PCM group, 2,666 in the PCB group, while 1,461 students opted for both streams.
West Tripura district had the highest number of examination centres with eight venues, whereas the remaining districts hosted one centre each.
Among the top achievers in the PCM category, Arghyajyoti Saha secured the first rank. Animesh Sarkar and Akash Choudhury obtained the second and third positions respectively.
In the PCB stream, Vaibhav Roy emerged as the topper, followed by Akash Choudhury in second place and Arnav Mitra in third.
The release of the results has brought happiness to successful candidates and their families, as TJEE plays a crucial role in securing admission to engineering, medical and other professional courses in the state.
Academicians and education observers have also pointed to the growing number of female participants as an encouraging indicator of rising interest among girls in higher education and professional studies.
Following the declaration of results, the next phase of counselling and admission procedures is expected to begin soon, paving the way for students to pursue their desired academic careers.
