Agartala, December 16, 2025: To commemorate Vijay Diwas and honour India’s historic victory in the 1971 war, Assam Rifles organised a ‘Run for Fun’ at Radhanagar on Tuesday. The event drew enthusiastic participation from Assam Rifles personnel, local residents and students, showcasing a strong spirit of patriotism and collective respect for the nation’s brave soldiers.
The initiative aimed to create awareness among the youth and the local community about the significance of Vijay Diwas, while paying tribute to the courage, valour and sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces. Participants ran with high energy, carrying the national flag and raising slogans celebrating national unity and pride.

Addressing the gathering at the conclusion of the run, speakers underscored the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by soldiers to safeguard the nation’s freedom and sovereignty. The programme concluded with a collective pledge to uphold the values of unity, integrity and peace.
Reaffirming its role in nation-building and community outreach, Assam Rifles reiterated its commitment to serving the people, in keeping with its motto, ‘Sentinels of the Northeast’.
