Agartala, September 3, 2025: Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is fully prepared for the upcoming Village Council (VC) and Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections, reaffirming the party’s commitment to the welfare of the Janajati community.
Chairing a special organisational meeting of the BJP Janajati Morcha at the Pradesh BJP office, Saha said the gathering was convened to review election preparedness and chalk out strategies to reach the Janajati electorate.
“The meeting focused on the challenges faced by the Janajati community and how the party, along with the government, can address them. Our preparations for the polls are in full swing, but the ultimate aim is to serve the people and strengthen their trust in BJP,” the chief minister said.
Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies, he added, “Since 2014, several initiatives have been taken for Janajati welfare, which were ignored in the past. Tripura is following this vision to ensure inclusive development in tribal areas and convey a strong message to voters.”
Saha further asserted that the BJP’s organisational network is fully mobilized for both elections, ensuring strong grassroots outreach.
The meeting was attended by BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharya, Tripura-Assam General Secretary (Organisation) Ravindra Raju, Tribal Welfare Minister Bikas Debbarma, Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, Janajati Morcha President Parimal Debbarma, along with district and mandal-level karyakartas.
